Philadelphia, PA June 5, 2019 – Multi-Award winning Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige and Hip Hop Legend Nas come to the Liacouras Center. On Saturday, September 7, 2019, Multi-Platinum artist and renowned Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, along with Hip Hop Legend, Nas, are scheduled to perform decades of major hits on live on stage at the Liacouras Center. Mary J. Blige, a native of Brooklyn, NY, rose to stardom in the 90’s impacting the R&B and Hip Hop culture with her soulful voice with hip hop swag. She was affectionately given the title the Queen of Hip Hop Soul after blazing the record charts with hit singles like "Real Love" "What’s the 411" and so much more! Mary J. Blige has won multiple awards and has been a part of various movie productions and television commercials. In 2018, to add to her long list of accolades, Mary J. Blige, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Nas, short of his birth name Nasir Jones, a native of Queens, NY, is a hip hop legend that started his career in the early 90’s. Nas is one of the most lyrical intellectual rappers in the game to this date. His hit singles include but not limited to, "If I Ruled The World", "One Mic" and more. Nas has also appeared in films and his most notarized movie role was in a film that impacted the Hip Hop culture, "Belly". The level of talent on this tour definitely makes the title fitting, The Royalty Tour.
